![]() Like the console versions, you go through levels based off of TV and movies, like the Wild West or Rankin/Bass holiday specials, collecting paws and remotes to advance further in the game. There's just more stuff to do this time around, eliminating that sense of tediousness the first time around. This time, the game is Color only, and it shows - the graphics are more vibrant, and the levels have a lot more detail. The game was developed by the same team that handled Gex: Enter the Gecko on the Game Boy earlier this year - and in design, it's very similar to the first try. It was removed before the final release.The Game Boy Color game is essentially a portable rendition of the Gex sequel that came out on the PlayStation and recently on the Nintendo 64. A collection of dialog clips from the previous Gex game is included in this build - g3\sounds\voice\voicep.dat.fvilla1, jaws1, and water15 are not present in the final N64 release. The following levels are included in this build (accessible from the N64 Levels section of the debug menu), but not the final PlayStation release of the game: fvilla1, jaws1, myth3, pirate88, push44, spider01, water15.There are unfinished stages as well as a handful of test stages.You can utilize free movement by holding down the START button and navigating the map with the directional pad.You can access a level select, view game statistics, modify the camera settings, and more. ![]() A debug menu can be activated any time in game by pressing SELECT.The subchannel data is not accurate, however (but isn't used by this game). ![]()
